The carriage of goods in containers and on pallets by air is carried out according to plans approved in the established manner.

Transportation of goods not provided for by the plan or presented above the plan is carried out according to the preliminary applications of the shipper, accepted by the enterprise, without prejudice to the performance of the transportation of goods according to the plan.

Acceptance of small shipments and household goods is carried out at the request of the senders.

Cargo transportation is carried out by regular scheduled flights and by registered flights on established airlines, as well as to points where regular flights are not operated.

The carriage of goods in containers and on pallets is carried out along the shortest routes and, as a rule, by direct flights.

Cargo transportation by air is carried out in containers and on pallets belonging both to the company and to the sender of the cargo.

For the transportation of goods, an enterprise may provide universal aviation containers and pallets to associations, enterprises and organizations for use or on lease terms, the terms and conditions of which are determined by a special contract.

The time allowed for the consignor or consignee to deliver (export) a container (pallet) for one-time use shall not exceed 24 hours from the time the container (pallet) is issued.

Transfer of containers (pallets) to senders and recipients of cargo for one-time use is drawn up in an act of established form.

The collection of cargo in containers and pallets can be made by the consignor or the company.

Containers (pallets) are delivered to the airport (from the airport) by the consignor or by the organization of road transport, which provides freight forwarding services under contracts with cargo owners or an enterprise.

For organizations engaged in commodity and forwarding services, the time for loading, paperwork and delivery of containers (pallets) is set out in contracts concluded between car fleets and enterprises.

Standards of time for loading, paperwork and delivery of containers (pallets) should be set at each airport that carries goods in containers and on pallets, and reported to the senders.

Payments between the consignor or consignee, on the one hand, and the company, on the other, for the carriage of goods in universal and specialized containers and on pallets, as well as for additional services rendered to consignees and consignors of goods by the company and freight forwarding organizations, are made on the basis of current tariffs.

Receipt of cargo collected in containers (on pallets) by the consignor and delivered to the airport under the consignor’s seal is carried out by the presence of intact seals of the consignor, external inspection of containers (pallets) without checking the number of places and the condition of the cargo, but with mandatory gross weight, the integrity of the packaging of the goods, assembled on a pallet, a visual inspection in accessible places and compliance with records in the documentation.

The company has the right to inspect the goods stored in a container or on a pallet. In this case, the opening of containers (pallets) should be carried out in the presence of the shipper and be issued an act on the opening of containers (pallets).

General requirements for containers and pallets

Containers and pallets must meet the requirements of state standards.

Containers are divided into universal (universal unified and universal aviation), designed for cargo of a wide range, and special - for a limited range of goods or certain types of cargo, requiring special transportation conditions.

Universal unified containers belong to public transport facilities and are usually managed by associations, enterprises, organizations that use air transport to transport goods.

Universal air containers and pallets belong to public transport facilities and are generally managed by the company.

Associations, enterprises, organizations that use air transport to transport goods may have on their balance sheet universal air containers and air pallets and, by agreement with the enterprise, use them as an exchange fund.

Special containers are a conveyance belonging, as a rule, to the sender or recipient of the goods, and are under their jurisdiction.

Associations, enterprises and organizations that use air transport for the transport of goods are obliged to coordinate with the company GA the types and sizes of their own containers and pallets used for the transport of goods by air.

Requirements for the technical condition of containers and pallets

Containers and pallets provided for loading must be in good condition, suitable for the transportation of the cargo and cleaned of the remnants of the previously transported cargo. If necessary, they must be rinsed and disinfected.

The carriage of goods in containers and on pallets, the technical condition of which does not ensure the safety of aircraft operations and the safety of cargo, is not permitted.

The technical malfunctions of the container include: misalignment of the container, absence or damage to devices for mooring cargo inside the container, damage to the casing, malfunction of the lock, door hinges and fittings, pushing from the rollers of floor mechanization into the bottom of the container.

Technical failures of the pallet include: pallet skewing, the absence or malfunction of the mooring nets and accessories, damage to the flooring of the pallet, malfunctioning of fittings and other devices, indentation from the rollers of floor mechanization into the bottom of the pallet.

The suitability of containers (pallets) for the transportation of this cargo is determined by the consignor or the enterprise on the basis of standard technical requirements for each type of container (pallet) and conditions of transportation.
